Just today I was able to work out the details for rooms in the contest Hotel, The Mark Twain. The Mark Twain is next door to the contest site.
I was able to reserve 30 rooms for Thursday, Friday and Saturday Night. The rooms are 125.00 each for either two double beds or one king bed. Before you say "Steve you idiot thats expensive!" these rooms come with some added extras. Each registered guest recieves complimentary HOT Breakfast buffet; eggs, meat, potatoes, fresh fruit and omelet and waffle stations. Also included are two drinks each at the bar in the evenings. That offer applies for each night.
So see.....not so bad. Figuring what drinks cost in Downtown Peoria (about $4) and breakfast at anywhere (atleast $10) the extras add about $36 to $40 dollars to the value of the room.
As I mentioned, we were able to save 30 rooms a night. The offer will be extended to more than 30 rooms if there are still rooms available, but only 30 are saved. I will be posting more hotel options in the near future. There are many nearby hotels in the area.
