T. Moon and I did re-locate to Dresden after night one in Lauchhammer and toured the historic section of Dresden Friday morning after our bench-only competition on Thursday. The architecture was mind-boggling.
We, too, had a wonderful trip! You don't see many 800 year old castles off the Georgia Interstates! (We toured that, too.)The fact that we were able to bring home some hardware was gravy on the biscuits.
The judging was the strictest I've seen; but for the most part, consistent as well. The competition equipment looked to be mostly new, and the venue was superb. Kudos to the folks who put it on. I also regret that more Americans didn't take advantage of it, but maybe next year.
Thanks to the APC and all our sponsors for helping make an unforgettable trip possible.
We hope to see you at the State and National meets coming up.
