The Ukraine Cup is a GPC meet. In Europe it is not so easy for some countries to change the name of their federations. In some countries it is expensive and they have to get government approval. That is the reason when we changed the name originally we kept the World Powerlifting Committee so the Europeans could keep their initials. It wasn't until 2004 in Athens that we changed to the GPC. The European countries that retained the WPC are members of the GPC and are listed in the member section of the GPC web site.
