Posted by ROCKY TILSON 2nd? Charles, our WONDERFUL Lifter whom I really like and respect, didnt go to Belgium. However, I wasnt offered ANY money and was the ONLY lifter to compete in the 275's other than my junior lifter, Jordan Sturm, who also got nothing. The other question arises. CHARLES competed in both OPEN and MASTERS (my division). He won both which is excellent. However, how do you determine, if he has won both, what money goes where? Does he just tell you what division he wants to lift in? and you give him money? He wont both, so does that mean he gets double the money?? I Think, if a lifter is going to compete at Nationals, either only offer a lifter the ability to lift in "ONE" class, or, let him lift in both, but make him commit to ONE class, if he wins, to compete in at the worlds, therefore, its all fair. I cant beat Charles, NO ONE CAN, hes enormously strong. I want him to go to Worlds if he wants too, but to compete against me, means I will never win unless he bombs out, which is ok, but under the current standards, it means i cant get any sponsorship from the APC< which isnt fair, especially if he doesnt go to the worlds (he didnt this year). Please give me some feedback on this. ROCKY TILSON

Just a thought here. We take the top 2 lifters from nationals to compete at the worlds,in each class. Why are we only offering the to finish (1st place) money, and not both athletes that compete in that weight clas? Doesnt seem fair.
