The GPC is a non tested federation and to my knowledge will remain so. Belgium is a country with different rules. The Belgium lifters are subject to doping control at any time. There was no announcement of any doping control at the contest in Gent, a failure among many of the meet promoters. When we discovered the testing we advised all the Americans to refuse, which I think they did. The rule, or law, is one with no teeth. If a lifter tests positive or refuses he/she is banned in Belgium for 2 years. I think that settles the issue for American lifters.
