Dopingcontroll at worlds?

congratulation to everyone who competed.
I was told by a trainingskollege that there were dopingtests at the worlds in Gent. He said also that some people will be not permitted to compete the next 2 or 3 years.
I thaught GPC is a non testing organization.
Is my trainingskollege joking or is that really true? If yes - which is the consequence of it?
