I too grew up going to Freeport ,Islip and sometimes Riverhead Dexter Park and Danbury when visiting relatives in New Milford. I was the gofer at Harry Briskas garage in Hempstead from whence came all those red and black sedans including the 42,13 and 69. I have over a hundred scrapbooks with old clippings from the 50s and lots of pictures I took as a kid with my Brownie camera including 2 of 2 different 1 1/2s . One is an older version circa 1956 early 57 the other was the 1st nite out in a brand new what looks like a 38 Ford. I have one of those little 37 plastic coupes painted as the 1 1/2 lettered for Caspars Auto Body hanging on my Christmas tree each year. along with Brunnhoezls 116 and Brunos car.
