Posted by Mike Fields And because I did, I'm not letting it go. Last week, I found the old 1982 Pontiac Firebird #1 last run in 1983 by Billy Bloore when Freeport closed. After making a quick partnership with Ronnie Gibbs, we now own the car, which will be restored over the next year or so. We need pictures of the car in it's heyday to be able to restore the correct paint colors, etc. I'll be keeping an on-line diary on the 'Restoration' page at my website, which I invite everyone to check out.

After reading all these years about people that found old race cars in garages, under the old oak tree in the back yard, and in a field in the absolute middle of nowhere, I finally found one!
