My father was Herb Sparnecht - he was the one with whom you had to sign in at the pit gate every night. I remember you well and just wanted to tell you that I always admired the way that you competed. You were a clean driver and a class man that I respected. I hope this finds you well. Do you ever have contact with any of the other drivers and owners form Freeport in the 60's? My parents started taking me to the races in 1952 when I was three and I didn't miss more than one or two nights until I left for college and then I came back and worked for Billie Kedenburg (Buttafuoco) until I got married and moved to Rochester.
