I am in the process of restoring a 1957 Chevrolet, the Black Widow. These cars were built in Atlanta by SEDCO for Chevrolet Division to race on the NASCAR circuit. There about 6 very high quality Black Widow clones in existence in the US, Buck Baker, Jack Smith, Smokey Yunick, Fireball Roberts are a few of the cars that have been restored. I would like to create mine as a replica of Speedy Thompson 1957 Chevy Darlington winner.
Do you have any photos of the winning race car of Speedy Thompson? This will help me with the details of the paint & graphics, and make my Black Widow reproduction as authentic as possible.
If not, any ideas on helping with my Speedy Thompson research will be appreciated. Books, clubs, archives ??
