Posted by Mike Fields Yup, like I didn't know who he was! Hate to say this and disapoint so many. However, 'Dynamite' Dan Turbush passed Charlie J in total wins last season. The difference was that Dan did it in just about every other division EXCEPT modifieds. Finally, everyone is going to hate me for this one... However, I'm positive that Bruno had more wins on Long Island than Charlie. Gee, I wonder how many people I'm gonna p*ss off over that statemtent???!!! Finally, don't forget the last Sunday in August for the annual Long Island Old-Timers Reunion in the pit area at Riverhead Raceway. I don't know what it is. However, we haven't been rained out since we started in the late 90's. And there have been some drastic weather forcasts! For more information, you can send me an e-mail, or call Marty Himes at the Himes Museum of Motor Racing Nostalgis.

I believe that Paul is still around. He surprised me a couple of years ago, when he came to the Riverhead, Islip, Freeport Speedway Old-Timers Reunion. Not expecting him, I was surprised in mid-afternoon when this guy taps me on back of my shoulder to say, "Hi, I'm Paul Mauceri. Thanks for inviting me Mike."
