You're right it is a studio CD. I'm not sure why Ram, Shelly and Joe Posada rerecorded their old tunes, but in this case it is going to be like an anthology with songs that span La Mafia's first 25 years with 2 brand new songs for 2006. Never before has it been possible to combine songs originally recorded under different labels on the same CD , so that is why they had to be rerecorded, and they are going to sound better than ever. Mando has gone to great lengths to ensure that the songs retain the original sound, so the only difference would should notice is in Oscar's voice which (although it sounded great back in the day) just gets better and better.
