2nd workout of week 8. squat 90% for 5 sets of 5 reps. No wraps or suit.
bench still light at 70% Deadlifts at 80%
on squat it seems like I am not going to make even the 1st rep on the 1st set but the 5th rep on the 5th set is really good.
I need to do a warmup on the platform and tell the judges to watch the 2nd rep.
See what Friday bring with 92% for squat. Four weeks to go after this week.

Robbin I DO make the 1st rep of the 1st set but it feels so heavy and hard that it SEEMS like I won't make it but the last rep of the 5th set is so easy. 5 sets of 5 reps takes a lot out of me. Just wondering how long I can keep this up. Tomorrow I will be doing 92% of my max at the Natural Nationals. I have 4 more weeks to go with swquating 3X a week. Garage is hot, it has been in the high 80's this week. I guess it's my age.

Larry, this sounds like a "killer" workout. 92% 5 x 5 at our age I don't know, but if you can do it, great. I was hoping to lift at Mesa in May, but thinking I will not be ready, and so maybe do a later national meet. Take care. Keith
