Hi! FYI, it is illegal to buy or sell organs for profit within the US. There are international rings which have been shutdown because they tried to sell organs to US citizens. From what I have read, the loser is the poor donor who is cheated of his money.
Since you are in a position to help transplantation, there are stories where the recipient has been given a second chance. Increasing public awareness of the need for organ donation would hopefully increase donor awareness and save lives. Many patients die because there is a severe deficiency of organs. Data can be found in the UNOS site, which controls the distributions of donor organs.
