Increasing public awareness of the need for organ donation would hopefully increase donor awareness and save lives. Many patients die because there is a severe deficiency of organs. Data can be found in the UNOS site, which controls the distributions of donor organs.
Hi! FYI, it is illegal to buy or sell organs for profit within the US. There are international rings which have been shutdown because they tried to sell organs to US citizens. From what I have read, the loser is the poor donor who is cheated of his money.
