im sure if I let him know this he would do a transplant, This is what I heard of before, either glcymic unawareness or other progressive diabetic complications and I beleive that retinapathy would be a major one, I have no idea why the transplant surgeon would say this guy would not be a candidate just becuase he only had terrible retinapathy. But im sure he would change his mind after knowing other centers do consider eye complication a major facter.I personally know how a transplant does stable your eyes and beleive I would be blind today if I didn't get one.
