I had my pancreas tx. 4/8/03 (I rec'd a living donor kidney 11/12/02). Has anyone had this evidently rare complication following pancreas transplant:
The new pancreas "sweats" its digestive enzymes. These enzymes then do what they do best DIGEST. They digest the tissue surrounding the transplanted pancreas. The details are pretty gross so I'll spare everybody.
But, I would really like to talk to someone who has had the same experience - just so I can compare notes and get an idea of what's coming next. Thank you.
