Thank you all for your responses to my post. You have all given me so much information and made me feel better about things. Since I posted that message I took my sister to her checkup (she is still doing weekly clinic visits) and they decided to do a sonogram, found some fluid around the kidney and removed it with a long needle. I am not sure what the fluid turned out to be but the doctor did call to tell us that it was no infection and that they would do a sonogram again next week at clinic and see if it had returned. If the fluid is back they will then do a kidney biopsy. They also took her off of many of the medications (reglan... since it didn't seem to be doing what it was supposed to, the mag oxide... since it could have been causing some diarreah and the iron... since they gave her an infusion with some sort of iron in it). They also reduced the prograf to 6mg per day after the last labs showed a level of 18.8. Her prograf level seems to be all over the place. The last 3 labs have gone from 22.5 to 13.7 to 18.8. We were told this was normal and that sometimes it takes weeks to get it controlled at a theraputic level. They checked the cellcept level and left the dosage the same so I am assuming that it was okay.
