His first transplant was scheduled for Feb. 4th and was cancelled due to an infection. You are right, this could have been cancelled also becasue we had a LRD. It would have been disappointing but knowing we still had his brother as the donor would be reassuring. Now his brother graciously gave his kidney and I'm hoping things will turn around for both of them. I thank all of you for your comforting words. This is hard and I work in healthcare! We are patient and continue to wait but on Friday, our physicians will be getting some pointed questions from us. Thanks again - feels better just to talk
