Mortality
Hear the silence take its toll
Taking away your sense of being
Like a shadow flat and all seeing
Time is slowly dripping away
Minute to hour night to day
Locked inside your minds dark cell
Alone in thought to sit and dwell
Life slips by like a twisted dream
With no purpose or so it may seem
You heart lets out a silent sigh
As you ponder why must we die
