Posted by Valencia The problem is we are in a rental and can not have pets, plus I'm allergic to cats. I need to find a shelter that will take her and find her a good home, not put her to sleep/kill her. Are there any out there that would do that? I can't abandon an animal, I don't have the money to place an ad, and will not run a "free cat" ad (I've heard worse stories than the ones listed on this site). She really is a great cat and I do want her to have a great family. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

I found a long haired grey and black striped cat. Alley is what I call her. She is a great cat, responds to her name, and listens to demands like "no." Alley is not declawed or spayed, but is very tolerant of children, I have a four yr old daughter who plays with Alley. She looks to be about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. Alley's been in my care for about two months. When I found her, she was half starved and very skittish, now she is healthy and very loving.
