**** Loving Dog of Harrier/Working Terrier Mix, small/medium size and approx. 18 pounds. He has short sleek hair and is approx. 1 1/2 yrs. old, is not neutered. We are fostering this little joy we have named "Skipper" for his playful gallop. He saved him from our city pound when his time was up. We have no adoption program here so dogs are rarely saved from being put to sleep. Skipper was abandoned by his owner's when they moved, left tied to a tree and starving by the time police were called to pick him up and take him to the pound. I was able to find a shot record at a local vet for him, he had his vaccination and rabies shot a year ago and they will be due again in June 2003. He gets along fantastic with children, other dogs, and cats (he is a little bouncy for their taste though). Very energetic, and playfull, learns quickly and comes when called. He shows every sign of being a terrific hunting/retrieving companion with training by his prospective owner. However he would be equally happy being the loved family pet. Skipper would do great in an escape proof fenced in yard (also does fine when in the house) or a SPACIOUS pen, if he will be taken out daily for play time and love. Skipper will not tolerate being tied up, he becomes very frightened and will cry and bark until he is allowed to be free. If you would provide Skipper with a permanant loving home, please call us at 660-425-7473 ASAP, or e-mail me at tonyabridge@hotmail.com A small adoption fee of $5.00 to help cover the cost of keep will be asked, and we would be happy to meet someone from the KC area half way if they cannot come to Bethany to pick him up.
