Stray Cat: Tabby Mix - Male/ Independence, MO

Buff color Tabby Mix. Very small & petite male with extrememly soft, medium length fur. Neutered but not declawed. Doesn't look much more than a year old. Appeared at my door on Christmas Eve and hasn't left since. Would like to keep him but already have two cats that highly object to the idea. He is a loving little thing but very skittish, though he has never offered to bite or scratch. He just runs away when scared. Seems like he was mistreated.
I would like to find a good home for him. Someone with no other pets and no children or older children. I will have him checked out by my vet and get all his shots if the prospective new owner will pay for these services. I want to make sure he is healthy and taken good care of.
We've been calling him "Austin".
