It seems like the only thing that gets people serious is money and now that fuel prices have somewhat steadied; nobody seems as worried about developing new technology. I think I should not worry about vehicles and fuel either. I do the best I can and hope that's good enough. You hate riding bikes? Me too! Can't stand the things but I guess I'd consider it too...if I had to....and the price of fuel shot up
I thought something like that the other day too: I was getting my recycling ready and I thought - "Why am I doing this? There are enough resources to sustain the world beyond my lifetime. I don't have kids and probably won't (getting a little long in the tooth!)." Then I thought: maybe this is my contribution to something I believe in. That's probably why we all do it; the best reason I think.
