E10 is regularly available here and I usually buy it since it's a penny cheaper a gallon. At first I was suspicious but it hasn't seemed to harm my vehicles at all. I do wonder though if I am doing good or bad by buying it. We are on the verge of such exciting energy breakthroughs. I do hope we live to see them. For the life of me, I can't figure out why we don't harness more wind power here in Nebraska. Heaven knows we have enough of it. A few people have said it's because maintance on the generators are so expensive.
I know in general that a gallon of ethanol does provide much less BTU value than a gallon of gasoline. I'm not real sure of the numbers though. Maybe 2/3?
