Gregg,
Thats what I don't understand. I love my daughter more than anyone and I'd do anything for her. Same goes for my father, mother, etc. but yet I still keep eating everytime I get hungry. If Im craving a sweet I eat sweets, if I crave protein I eat protein, etc. A friend of mine that is 7% bodyfat (ripped) told me that its because processed food has chemicals in it that cause you to crave more and that if you cut out the starches and processed foods, you'll stop craving them. Otherwise he says you'll have to rely soley on will power and self discipline which a lot of people just don't have or can't sustain. I've had a picture of my daughter in front of my computer for years now as you've suggested, I've made those mind movies where it shows everything you want to achieve (affirmation videos) etc.. and it just doesn't work, none of it. What do you think of what my friend said regarding cravings coming from processed food chemicals and why wouldnt the picture of my daughter, affirmation videos, etc.. work? The only thing thats worked in the past was wanting to lose the weight so that I could jump higher when playing b-ball with my friends. This is back when I lived in FL. Also, when I was single in my early 20s, girls of course was enough motivation. What I don't understand is why those two motivators would work but not my own daughter and family which is a million times more important? What mindset did you have when you decided to stop eating so much, what were you thinking that caused you to cut back?
