These same questions have come up a lot as of late. You’ll find answers to most of them in the book itself.
Briefly:
1) Yes, the kind of calories you eat matter. You can’t just have a certain amount of calories that do nothing for your body in regard to health and still hope to achieve success (both in regard to losing the weight and also achieving your best health and well-being internally).
2) Yes, there are some nutritionists who believe you should have six smaller meals a day. This is great in theory, but isn’t always possible when you work full time or run a household and can’t stop everything to have a meal at 10:00 am or 3:00 in the afternoon. I achieved my success through 3 healthy meals and light snacks, when appropriate -- as detailed in the book.
3) As I also detail in the book (as well as on this chatboard and in the Just Stop! eNews), exercise is essential. Daily, if possible. We don’t move enough in this country and we’re fatter because of it. I understand that different people have different physical limitations, but even walking (with proper posture and for proper lengths of time) can be a terrific exercise.
As with any change in diet, I recommend everyone consult with his or her personal physician in order to make the best exercise choices according to their personal health needs.
Last but not least, your questions are very similar to posts from Al and Joe, so you might want to check my answers to those posts for some additional insights as well as links to other websites that your might find helpful. Good luck.
