Your questions about Vegetarian Options for the Just Stop! Plan are terrific, Suzy. Yet I’m afraid I don’t have all the answers. Although I will do some research and be better prepared to answer this question in the future. I welcome any other Just Stoppers! out there who have ideas or experience with this to please share what you know or have learned via our chat board so we can all become more informed.
Back to Suzy… Being a vegetarian yourself, you might be better prepared to answer your own questions. Certainly tofu and quorn can provide alternatives to the meat products. While the more processed vegetarian options you mentioned would likely have too much salt and oil (not to mention preservatives) in their preparation. What’s important is for you to get your proper doses of protein -- both for your energy levels as well as your overall health. (After all, what good is looking great if you're not feeling great, right?)
I would suggest reading labels of foods you can eat. Try and eat as pure of food as possible -- with little (preferably none) added salt and oils and chemicals/preservatives. Some fat is okay -- in moderation. Keep it pure. Keep it simple. Keep it minimal. Fat occurs naturally in the meat products non-vegetarians are enjoying on the plan. So some fat is okay. I just find that for true success, it should be natural and minimal.
As I gather more information, I’ll share it. I hope you'll do the same. And please keep us all posted on your success!
