To answer your questions:
Yes I'm currently taking pictures of my body every week (I weigh myself every Tuesday morning before I leave for class and I take my weekly photo every Friday night before I go to work).
Admittedly, I'm not using the charts in your book because I wasn't sure how to figure out my own body fat, the size of my arms, legs, etc and if I knew the "know how", I don't think I could trust myself with doing it correctly. (Yes, I did buy the book, in fact I was driving home late one night to go back to my hometown from college because I was depressed about my weight and was going to talk to my parents about possibly getting gastric bypass, that night just happened to be the night I caught you on Coast to Coast AM. Fate? Maybe.)
I've tried to follow your recipes to a T, but sometimes I do end up doing variations, instead of Fiji apple, sometimes I'll have a peach or a medium sized orange instead. Right now (literally) I'm eating the chicken/medium tomato/peach meal but I threw in some basil leaves and some oregano in there as well. I know I sound like a broken record, but are these variations okay as well? Substituting fruits with similar sized fruits, using different vegetables (but the ones you have listed for the diet) with different salads etc?
As far as "using" me in your Newsletter, by all means that's okay with me (in fact I didn't even know you had one, is it just an email? If so please add me to your mailer)
And my final comment (sorry to make this so lengthy, I know you're probably a busy guy) is, how do I deal with cravings at work? I probably have the worse possible job to start this life change on (I don't want to use the word diet), I work in a gas station and I'm *constantly* surrounded by food. Candy bars, beef jerky, chips, the works. To make matters worse we're allowed all the free Fountain soda, coffee, fresh donuts, and hot dogs that we want (I obviously have stopped eating these, except I take exception to the free carbonated water). It's very hard for me to just change "the mental channel" as you say in your book when you're literally surrounded by what's tempting you in the first place. I've tried to stay outside as much as possible when my duties are done, but I live in Iowa. The average temperature in the past couple months has probably been 20 degrees so that doesn't work too well. Any other possible tips?
