Hey, Tom! Thanks for your post. I read it just before my appearance on C2C AM and it really got me pumped up for the interview with Ian. I am amazed at the C2C AM listeners. What an amazing community of caring, smart, funny, sophisticated people. And no, Tom -- I'm not kissing ass. LOL!
I did log onto the Nighthawk Zone after the show. Because I was a "new" member, I wasn't able to post any comments. But I read over the discussion and it was a lot of fun. I especially liked the guy who called me out on my old habit of eating almost a bag of Oreos at a time. Ha!
In regard to you and your efforts, Tom, I know you can do it. And the reason I know it is because of the commitment I can read in between the lines in your post. Dieters often lose weight, then gain it back. That's because they go back to old habits. This happens. It's normal. Does it mean we stop trying? No! And that's why I'm thrilled that you and she are going to get the book and start the plan together.
I know you've faced a lot of medical difficulties over the years, as well. I appreciate you sharing your history. Be sure to discuss this new start with a doctor before starting. You want to make sure you're as healthy on the inside as you are on the outside.
And about that 60" belt! We will have to get together one day and wrap them around both of us together. I look at my belt every day. It's 3 feet away from me as I type this to you (less feet than the belt itself -- ha). Keep it around as inspiration. And take some "before" pictures like I did, too. Because this time, you're going to do it.
PLEASE keep in touch, ask any questions and let us know any ideas you come up with, too. Just by posting this, you have helped so many people. Including me. If it wasn't for your post, I would have been a little more nervous before my interview. So thanks again -- to you, to all the members of the NightHawk Zone and to everyone who listens to C2C AM.
