I don't buy Curtis in love with Honore.
He's a suicide victim. Symptoms of depression include not seeing/ thinking clearly, impaired judgement, suicidal thinking and erratic, reckless, self destructive behaviour. And Ian Curtis was male. Men are more likely to act out depression.
I think his affair was a symptom of depression. His mental state I'd have to question if he was even capable of falling in love!
Besides his suicide note read he hated her. If he was whacked with guilt and hated himself over his affair a part surely must have felt same towards Honore! I believe his suicide note. He hated Honore.
