Bruce the best book to read on ian's life is Ian Curtis, a life torn apart by Lindsey Reade and Mick Middles. It's much more balanced than touching from a distance. It also has a great selection of pictures of Ian and Joy division as a whole. I think the reason the book is more balanced, is that the majority is written by Lindsey, who was close enough to ther band to understand what was happening in Ians life, yet far enough away not to have personal emotions clouding the issue like debbie did
