It is interesting reading these comments, I was not impressed with the movie, I then read the book which I enjoyed but you have to take it in context that it was written by his wife who had been treated badly, was the person who found his body and was left with a 1 year old daughter to bring uo, she had every right to be bitter and it does come across in the book, even after all the years since Ian's death. I then read Torn Apart by Mick Middles & Lindsay Reade and I think this has a more balanced view to it, I guess we all have different sides to us, we are not simple creatures but ones with many faces. I came to Joy Division late in my my life and I find the music astonishingly fresh considering it is nearlt 30 years old.
