Well, I bought the film, "Control" recently and can't stop watching it, poignant and powerful and utterly overwhelmingly beautiful even in all it's darkness, don't do it justice. At the cinema, I watched it in Scotland with my ex, it was surreal, bizarre, freaky because whilst watching it I suffered terrible panic attacks and went off into disturbing trances, I had to leave grudgingly before the end, i was in such a state. (I'm sure parly due to the trauma of what Ian went through having and effect on my pysche. Anyway, I've been a New Orde fan but never knew anything much about Joy division till my Joy Division worshipping ex took me to see this film. And since that moment, I feel like they have captured my heart, the msuic just gets better and better with each listen and i find myself becoming transcended into the dark world of his lyrics. I just feel their songs are so stunning and so relevant, expecially today in these uncertain times. It was an utter tragedy that he died but I guess his legacy will remain always, live on trough their lyrics and through this film and in the music others write that is inpsired by this amazing band.
Claire.
