Ian was "mentally ill" yet sane @ the san)e time. He suffered form depression (neurosis not psychosis) and epilepsy (a neurological disease that while not a form of psychosis can present psychotic symptoms) Personaly I think Ian was a genius the way he turned epilepsy into a form of self expression and very brave to, there was a hell of alot of stigma associated with epilepsy back in the 70s but he had the balls to get on stage and do his unique version of the electric boogaloo. Take it from some one that sufferers from both epilepsy and depression thats no easy thing to do even in this day and age!
