Posted by pete I'm a first time poster on here. I was a fan in the late 70's and remember exactly when I heard on the radio about ian's death (I was in my second year at Lancaster University, so I guess I was at an impressionable age). I've listened to the band's stuff a lot over the 25 years since Ian's death. But, I've never been the type who wears the T-shirt etc etc. Thing is, I'll be going past Macclesfield on a trip I'm making in June. I'm thinking of visiting Ian's grave. Bit odd, maybe, for a middle-aged guy like me biut I'm wondering if anyone on this site has made the trip and can offer any thoughts? Was it any way spiritual for you? Was it a big disappointment? Any thoughts gratefully accepted! Regards to all,
