Posted by Gil Nelson This new page is a great idea. I thank you very much for understanding that most fans simply do not care about all of the negative things that are being posted. Thank you for keeping their feeings in mind. These "debates" have gotten so out-of-hand. I have found out that it does no good to speak with Arie or Frank. Although my exchanges with both of them have been of a civil nature, they simply refuse to listen to reason. because of this, the other website is innundated with almost nothing but negative postings and the information pretaining to Reeves, obscured. I have told Arie on more than one occasion that fans will not put up with that very long and that he is slowly destroying his web presence. Over the past several months I have been doing research on Thomas Jefferson for a play my drama group and I are producing. One very interesting fact that I learned; Thomas Jefferson made it his policy to NEVER respond to personal attacks. He felt this to be beneath him. He was attacked viciously by a "bully" journalist during the first term of his presidency, accused of keeping a slave mistress, Sally Hemings. In all of Jefferson's surviving documents, you will find no response to these terrible attacks. As widespread as these stories were, they did not keep Thomas Jefferson from winning a second term, and even history has delt with the situation with dignity. Truth and honesty wins out every time. A lot of people make the mistake of believing that you can build yourself up by tearing someone else down. That is what is going on here. Larry, hold your ground...and hold your tongue. Sometimes the best thing to say is...nothing. As you can tell from the postings on this board, you have quite a few supporters. We have figured out who the victims are. You have nothing to prove to us...and for damn sure, you have nothing to prove to "them". Oh, BTW, the "bully" journalist I spoke of; he drank himself to death one night out of pure frustration. No one would listen to him concerning his stories of Jefferson's affair. He walked drunk into a river and drowned.
