A couple of things. I stopped a couple of white kids around 12 years old tampering with a motorbike parked on the corner of Elwin and Barnet on Monday June 7. On the same say I was called up and told about a bogus man who had tricked one of our older residents into letting him enter her house by saying that he'd seen someone break in. The resident was walking up the street and apparently has regular habits which the man had observed. Once inside rather than helping her he took a lot of her personal possesions and left. The police have also been reporting bogus police officers who once inside rob you. the message is don't let anyone in and call 999.
Also Durant Street seems to be the hotbed of car crime.
Maybe we should start thinking about asking for cctv. It is now at the end of Barnet Grove - so maybe its inevitable.
