Posted by Jo In addition, lads went into the other house where the window was broken (though the police don't know if it was the same boys who broke the window, or if it was opportunists), and caused damage. I believe these boys have been caught. The police urged us to report our breakage. As an aside, local glaziers White Horse Glass replaced the pane first thing this morning, appear to have done a decent job, were friendly and helpful, and charged a very reasonable £55.

Our front window (Quilter Street) was broken yesterday while we were out. However the breakage was witnessed by some guys in a car, who said it was lads playing football, that it appeared to be an accident, and that they retrieved their ball and legged it. However a few doors along, another front window was also broken, in a house that is currently empty. Speaking to the police who were in the street last night, several windows in the area were broken by boys with a football yesterday, so it might not have been so accidental after all.
