Peter, you are not the only person who this man has tried it on with. He pulled the same routine some time ago with Mary who lives in Wellington Row, again in the early hours of the morning. Fortunately she knew he was lying when he said he was her neighbour and didn't let him in or give him any money. But he has apparently been back a few times ringing Mary's doorbell and being a general nuisance, which is frightening for an elderly person.
