All the internet chatter about the big performance tomorrow reminded me of how Marla said that she turned down Christine because she couldn't see herself playing a character who spends an entire act in a trance.

I first saw the show in London and it was one of the most dreadful theatre experiences of my life. John Owen Jones was the lead at the time and he plays the character like a psycho. HATED that. We had horrible seats and it was just an all around disappointing experience.
