Thanks so much for your post. I'll be seeing "A Steady Rain" tomorrow night. Looking forward to it. I've heard that the stage door is completely insane. Too bad that they haven't found some way to keep it fairly organized. I did have the chance to get up close and personal with Jackman after TBFO. I guess that will have to suffice.
I'm also seeing "Next to Normal" and "Hair" this weekend. I'm especially excited about N2N. Several friends have seen the show and recommended it to me.
Hoping to go to the BC/EFA Flea Market on Sunday. Something I've wanted to do for years. Hope the weather cooperates, but showers are predicted.
I haven't been to NYC since last October. Hard to believe since I usually get down to the city at least 2 or 3 times a year for business and manage to take in a show or two.

: Just in case anyone is curious about this
: show, I found it to be quite good and very
: interesting. Now I will admit the primary
: draw was the two actors (Hugh Jackman and
: Daniel Craig) and that I honestly would have
: paid for a ticket to watch them read the
: phone book -- so thus I went in with no
: expectations.
:
: I had read a bit of stuff on All That Chat
: about the show so knew it consisted of a
: bare set and just the two actors giving a
: series of monologues. I didn't realize
: however that there would be quite so much
: interaction between the two characters. The
: show is very raw (language, graphic
: situations, etc.) and doesn't pull any
: punches. The extremes in emotion these two
: actors go through in 90 minutes (no
: intermission) will keep you glued to your
: seat. There are moments of joy and
: playfulness and yet also moments of extreme
: emotion. Hugh's character is the more
: personable and likeable guy, but Daniel's is
: more cerebral and well thought. It's a very
: interesting dynamic between these too. Plus
: there's the whole added feature of seeing if
: "Hollywood" types really can hold
: their own on stage 8 shows a week...since
: they got called back at curtain 3x I would
: say that the audience yesterday was
: extremely receptive.
:
: Note of caution though -- don't try to do
: the stage door if you are seeing the show.
: The crowd is gi-normous and you will never
: even get up near the front -- esp. with the
: pushing and shoving and all the people who
: get there during the show to get autographs
: for their e-bay businesses.
