Marcus, there are some cheap flights to New York going on now. If you can get there, the trip to Millburn is easy, and costs about $7 from Penn Station. If you have never seen a production of this show before, trust me, this is one you will be glad you did. Hope you can make it!

: Wish I lived in that area. i love 1776,
: it's one of my favorite Musicals. Would
: love to see a production of it!

: Forgive me, since I did not have the fortune
: of seeing the originals, I should not have
: commented "this" one is the best.
:
: Gosh - no apologies necessasry at all. You
: certainly have every right to your opinion.
: I was simply in the position (i.e., old!!)
: to have seen both productions on Broadway.
: My memories of the first are much vaguer,
: but it was the CAST that made the Roundabout
: revival so indellible to me. I'm still in
: touch with many of them.
:
: I don't know
: if you've been at the Papermill Playhouse,
: but I found it to be a very quaint, cozy
: little Theatre, but the history there!
:
: Heck, I was going to the Papermill even
: before it burned down and was rebuilt. Pain
: in the neck to get to (from Queens), but so
: many fabulous people have done work there, I
: wind up going one (or even twice) a year.
