A Holiday Ode to the Weather Channel
(Sung to the tune of "Let it Snow!")
Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But Florida's delightful
And since you've no place to go
We just called to say "Ho! Ho!"
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And we wore our shorts out shopping.
The palm trees have such a glow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally say goodbye
You'll be glad to go out in the storm
But if you really do this right
Next year you'll be here where it's warm
The storm is slowly dying
If we wished were there we'd be lying.
So, off to the beach we go
While you're weather is 10 below!

In our defense it was a bit of a Christmas cookie high last night that lead to that little lyric...apparently if one eats too many macaroons after 9 p.m. one will get a serious case of the giggles and compose bad poetry
