Thanks CC, Annie sent me the Variety article last night but it was 2 am and my computer would not load it for me. 
If it is any consolation, I'm still in contact with the person working on an adaptation of Shirley. She received a grant for it, so she had better come up with something 
She's a professor so she's a bit buried under her work atm, but it's still coming along.
