I would love to see it again now that I'm older and wiser. :-) A few months ago, I caught the "Best of Masterpiece Theater"...can't remember if that's the true title...voted by viewers and "Poldark" made it! It was great seeing the interview with "Poldark" as he looks today. (He's held up well.) Some clips of the series were shown, too. Takes me back...

: Our state-wide PBS system recently
: re-broadcast the first series of Poldark and
: I enjoyed watching it all over again.
: Unfortunately neither season is available on
: DVD in the U.S.; you have to buy either the
: UK or Austrailian versions and own an all
: region player to view them. I don't
: understand why they're not available here;
: the show was very popular and at one time
: you could get them on VHS.
:
: Another one of those "why-isn't-this
: available' conundrums.

: when I was about 10 or 11 and feeling so
: caught up in the lives of the characters. It
: was the first big production that I'd seen
: on PBS.
:
: I'm sorry that the current "Jane"
: has some kinks in it, but hopefully, they
: can be worked out.

: A mixed review, I suppose, but it still
: sounds
: good to me! Wish I could see it.
