No. 130A"
Hi Mike, You've discovered one of the secrets of the North Bros. "Yankee" line of tools. They last! I have several No. 30 screwdrivers that are more than 100 years old and they still work well. That's very hard for companies to duplicate in this age of throw away tools. In 1929 North Bros. began a major upgrade to their tools, making their internal mechanical design much stronger. These new tools were designated with an "A" suffix in the model number to denote the modification. Your estimate of 50 years is right on. Dave --Previous Message-- : What an amazing tool! My Dad passed some years : ago and left me the "YANKEE" 130A : north bros. tool. : Still tight, and working to this day and I : would guess it is probably over 50 years : old! Kind of beats heck out of no power : outlet for the driver or a flat battery on : the portable tool! :
