Just a couple of personal thoughts on the 'Saint' naming - I feel it was unlikely.
Of the 'Saint' names only 'St George' was one that had been used with any frequency in the RN (and the last one of those was a cruiser out of active service by 1914) and so the names weren't 'traditional'. Whether in the early 1920s (with Irish nationalism) you would have wanted to use 'St Patrick' I don't know, but I would have thought it not likely.
There was also HMS King George V at this time - accepting that she went for scrap in 1926, there could have been confusion over names.
Just my two penn'orth
Any thoughts anyone?

: I think I read somewhere one time (maybe in a
: foot note in Lenton and Colledge's
: "British Warships of World War II"
: published these decades ago by Ian Allen
: that these ships were to be named for the
: patron saints of the four kingdoms of the
: British Isles, thus "Saint
: Andrew", "Saint David",
: "Saint George" and "Saint
: Patrick" Thus, should we call them the
: "Saints class" or the "Holy
: class"?
:
: Anyway, I look forward to the release!
