I am looking for information on this ship from the War of the Pacific between Spain and the South American allies. I have good info on dimensions and armament (some discrepancies), but no plan or appearance sketch. I have found two paintings of the Battle at Callao, (her only action) which purport to depict her, but both are rather fanciful, and were painted long after the battle. From what can be seen in the post card sized photo of one and the on-line pixelated photo of the other, the appearance of the ship which should be Victoria looks to be a Canonicus class monitor that was acquired after the the battle. Warship International from the early 1970s has some sketches of the Spanish and later Allied ironclads but not Victoria.
Does anyone know of an authentic plan or appearance sketch? All help is appreciated.
