Repairing gun turrets

I recently purchased some WW 2 Viking model battleships. Unfortunately several guns were missing on two of the models. I have been unable to penetrate the turrets with a tiny drill and replace the guns with, say, paper clips or other small metal pins. Anybody have any ideas? Help
