Could I just point out that the two R class ships I recently put up for sale on ebay were bought as part of a collection of cruise ships from a very reputable collector here in the UK. I have not advertised them as being 'new' and I have no reason to beleive that the models are in any way copies of the original. As for the ships boats, I have described what I can see and bearing in mind the model was produced around three years ago it is quite conceivable that one of the boats could have come off in the meantime. Their original origin is of course unknown to me but I can't imagine these being copied by someone else, if it was it was done at least some years ago as I visited this collector to purchase some warships over 18 months ago and the model was on his shelf then. Every model I sell I of course verify the maker, this one has JE9 cast underneath it which makes it an Eagan model as far as I am aware and I have listed it as such. I take great exception to the implication that I would pass off 'counterfeit models' as originals on ebay.

: At the present time Martin Brown is selling
: copies of my "R" class cruise
: ships on eBay. He states that these models
: have misaligned lifeboats with one missing
: and were manufactured by me. I would like
: everybody to know that I built the master
: for this ship but MONTFORD MANUFACTURING
: cast them and those flaws were rejected by
: me before the original casting was supposed
: to be done. THEY DO NOT REPRESENT MY WORK
: !!! I do not blame MB for this mixup I have
: always found him to be an honest and
: reputable person however MONTFORD had no
: right to sell this junk with my name on it.
: Please be advised that I would never allow
: work like this to carry my name. I am deeply
: offended that my name has been used without
: my permission.
